UMA CASA RURAL
For over three years we were sailors *. Our house was 16 meters long and 5 meters wide, and we sailed wherever we wanted to spend the next few weeks, seeking the charm of nature, peace and inspiring people. Now on land, we've found all this in Charneca (Portugal) meeting guests from all over the World.

RESPECTFUL OF LOCAL HISTORY AND NATURE
UMA CASA RURAL is a true Algarvian village, consisting of a main house, which served as the landowner's residence and as a storage area for olive, fig, almond, and carob crops. The separate side building has five bedrooms once used by farmers.
The complex has been carefully renovated under the supervision of the Faro Chamber of Commerce, respecting the architectural characteristics of Charneca, which is considered a "Predio Referenciado" - site of Local Historical Interest
Upon completion of the renovation, one of the first installations was a state-of-the-art (non-Chinese) photovoltaic panel system with 30kW batteries and solar collectors System to heat 1500 liters of hot water, to ensure UMA CASA RURAL's energy autonomy.
OUR SUITES & STUDIOS
The main building houses two studios, measuring 28 square meters with a 14/20 square meter independent patio facing southeast. The side building houses four studios, from 28 to 44 square meters, all with outdoor patios of approximately 17-24 square meters. Outdoor patios are equipped with sink made of local "molhado" stone and large refrigerator for ready-made or imported meals.
Each patio is equipped with hedges, a roof, and a table and chairs for enjoying lunches and dinners in the breezy Algarve climate. It sleeps three people, with a double bed and a single bed. The fifth bedroom has been furnished with a bunk bed for teenagers who want to be independent.
In the spirit of the ancient village, we invite guests to share with all other guests the interior spaces, such as the large living room with library and the spacious dining room; the outdoor gardens to the east, west, and north sides; the swimming pool with the courtesy bar; and the over 10,000 square meters of land with olive, almond, carob, and fig trees.
